Sex.com, not so sexy after all to buyers

Sedo, the company hired by Escom to sell the domain sex.com, may be unable to attract a buyer willing to pay millions for a domain with a history of problems. Despite Sedo's success in the aftermarket.
Hundreds of stories have been written about Sex.com, and Sedo the company responsible for selling the domain has been doing most of the writing lately in an attempt to attract buyers.
But even with Sedo working all its’ angles, prospective buyers don’t find seem to find the domain attractive at the $14 million price tag - or the rumored asking price that is much, much higher.
The owners are facing the heat to reap some type of return on the name after Escom the company that owns the domain had an Involuntary Chapter 11 filed against them in in March — and they’re likely expecting Sedo to pull off a miracle.
Sedo has been marketing the domain name aggressively on their website, with a number of articles pitching the benefit.
