It may sound like a great domain name for a casual gaming site, but PlaywithMe.com, which sold for $15,000 at GreatDomains earlier this week, hasn’t quite ended up as a casual gaming web site. In its first week with its new owner, the domain name is re-directing to a different type of web site: can you guess?
When you type in the web address playwithme.com into your browser, you’ll be taken to Cams.com - a website that hosts adult webcams.
Playwithme.com has been registered for years, going way back to the mid nineties. According to Archive.org, as early as 1997 playwithme.com was an adult web site.
Streamray, Inc, who own cams.com, own a number of adult related domain names such as icams.com, wetcam.com, and realsexcam.com. But it’s unknown whether Steamray is the new owner of Playwithme.com since the domain is privacy marked, or if the new owner is just redirecting the URL to cams.com.
