It appears Reader’s Digest is the latest company to throw its hat into the group buying ring, registering several domain names hinting at its entry.

Reader’s Digest certainly has a captive online audience it can target, with nearly a million visitors per month according to a rough estimate by Compete.

Yesterday the company registered digestdailydeals.com and other related names.

Earlier this month the company announced a new North American President. 

“Reader’s Digest Association, owned by privately held RDA Holding Co., publishes 90 magazines and also produces books, music, videos and other products. It emerged from bankruptcy in February 2010, having struggled with a heavy debt load stemming from its 2007 leveraged buyout by private-equity firm Ripplewood Holdings,” writes the Wall Street Journal.
