Samsung files trademarks for Galaxy Metrix, Velvet, and Legend smartphones

Samsung Galaxy Metrix, Legend, and Velvet

Samsung continues to file new smartphone trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

On April 13, 2012, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. submitted three more applications for the Galaxy Metrix (Serial Number: 85597928), the Galaxy Velvet (Serial Number:85597925), and the Galaxy Legend (Serial Number: 85597919).

Each filing covers the exact same “goods and services”:  Mobile telephones; Smartphones.

The new trademark applications come on the heels of the filings for the Galaxy Sire, Galaxy Lift and Galaxy Perx smartphones, filed in late March.

According to BGR, Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy S III, which will be the official device of the 2012 Summer Olympics, in London.

At the time of this post, Samsung has made no announcement regarding the Galaxy Metrix, Velvet and Legend.

Samsung files trademarks for Galaxy Sire, Lift, and Perx smartphones

On March 30, 2012, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. submitted trademark applications for the Galaxy Sire (Serial Number: 85585397), the Galaxy Perx (Serial Number:85585381), and the Galaxy Lift (Serial Number: 85585386).

As with many of Samsung’s recent filings over at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the goods and services described in each application cover the same thing: Mobile phones; Smartphones.

Other than the limited information in the trademark applications, there’s not much to go on at this point.

No details on specs just yet.

At the time of this writing, Samsung has made no official announcement of releasing these smartphones.

Samsung files trademarks for Galaxy Emerge, Stellar, and Halo smartphones

On March 2, 2012, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. submitted trademark applications for the Galaxy Emerge (Serial Number: 85558647), the Galaxy Stellar (Serial Number: 85558639), and the Galaxy Halo (Serial Number: 85558619).

The goods and services described in each trademark filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office covers “Mobile phones; Smartphones“.

The Samsung Galaxy S II was recently named “Best Smartphone” by GSMA at Mobile World Congress 2012. 

According to The Verge, “Samsung’s much sought-after Galaxy S III was on track for an April launch, but the company itself has taken to Twitter to refute these claims.”

At the time of this story, not much is known about Samsung’s plans for the Galaxy Emerge, Galaxy Stellar and Galaxy Halo smartphones.

Samsung files trademarks for Galaxy Axiom, Awaken, Heir, Rite smartphones

With the Mobile World Congress less than a week away, Samsung has filed four new trademarks for smartphones with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

On February 16, 2012, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. submitted trademark applications for the Samsung Galaxy Rite (Serial Number: 85545292), the Samsung Galaxy Heir (Serial Number: 85545288), the Samsung Galaxy Awaken (Serial Number: 85545285), and the Samsung Galaxy Axiom (Serial Number: 85545284).

The goods and services in every single trademark filing cover the exact same thing: “Mobile phones; Smartphones”.

Samsung has yet to officially announce any of these new smartphones.
