Garry Chernoff sells adnet.com for $60,000, a name he bought for only $1,000

RevNet

Garry Chernoff has sold another one of his domain names from his portfolio of thousands.

Garry notified me by email that he sold the domain adnet.com for $60,000 USD, a name he acquired in 2005 that was originally registered way back in 1994.

I asked Garry if he could tell me something special about the transaction and he said that he purchased the name for only $1,000 from the previous owner.

The domain was sold to Doug Petrie of RevNet LLC, a data monetization company that owns and operates a number of websites including revnet.com, callnet.com, revoffers.com, listmanagement.com and monetization.com.

Garry has been racking up some nice numbers in 2011.  In March he sold the domain name bluejeans.com for $150,000 and doorhardware.com for $85,000.  One of his most notable 2011 sales belongs to gamesforgirls.com for $500,000 which sold to gaming company Gamegos.

he is on fire this year, and sales like this show that good domains still hold value.

internet traffic expected to quadruple by 2015 I just saw, that’s a lot of domains that will be needed!
