Crowdstar files trademark applications for Aquarium Party, Fish Party video games

According to recent trademark filings with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, social gaming company Crowdstar has plans to release one, possibly two, new games around the initial success of its Happy Aquarium game that it launched way back in September 2009.

On April 17, 2012, Crowdstar Inc. submitted a trademark application (Serial Number: 85600513) for Aquarium Party.

Days before the Aquarium Party filing, Crowdstar also filed a trademark application (Serial Number: 85596416) for Fish Party.

The “goods and services” in both filings cover:

Downloadable computer game software for use on wireless devices and computers; computer-game software, video game software, and computer game application software; interactive-video-game programs; electronic game software and electronic game application software that may be accessed via the Internet, computers and wireless devices; computer software to enable uploading, posting, showing, displaying, tagging, blogging, sharing or otherwise providing electronic media or information regarding the fields of virtual communities, electronic gaming, entertainment and general interest via the Internet or other communications networks with third parties

As of today, Crowdstar has made no announcement about Aquarium Party or Fish Party.

Crowdstar working on next unannounced game called Modern Girl [UPDATED]

Mobile social gaming company Crowdstar appears to be working on its next iOS “Girl” game called Modern Girl.

In a filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on February 6, 2012, Crowdstar Inc. filed to trademark “Modern Girl by Crowdstar”.

The goods and services covered in the trademark filing (Serial Number: 85534912) include:

Downloadable computer game software for use on wireless devices and computers; computer-game software, video game software, and computer game application software; interactive-video-game programs; electronic game software and electronic game application software that may be accessed via the Internet, computers and wireless devices; computer software to enable uploading, posting, showing, displaying, tagging, blogging, sharing or otherwise providing electronic media or information regarding the fields of virtual communities, electronic gaming, entertainment and general interest via the Internet or other communications networks with third parties

Crowdstar’s Social Girl which launched in December 2011, snagged a million downloads in its first week of going live.

At the time of this story, Crowdstar has made no announcement about Modern Girl.

The trademark filing for Modern Girl comes at a peculiar time.  The same week Crowdstar submitted the application, Apple warned developers not to manipulate App Store rankings.

Crowdstar developing another zombie iOS game called Zombie Chopper Strike

With the zombie craze showing no signs of dying down, you can never have enough zombie games.

It looks like social game developer Crowdstar is working on yet another mobile game for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad called Zombie Chopper Strike.

In an application submitted with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on December 5, 2011, Crowdstar Inc. filed to trademark the phrase “Zombie Chopper Strike”.

The goods and services covered in the trademark filing (Serial Number: 85487117) include:

Downloadable computer game software for use on wireless devices and computers; computer-game software, video game software, and computer game application software; interactive-video-game programs; electronic game software and electronic game application software that may be accessed via the Internet, computers and wireless devices; computer software to enable uploading, posting, showing, displaying, tagging, blogging, sharing or otherwise providing electronic media or information regarding the fields of virtual communities, electronic gaming, entertainment and general interest via the Internet or other communications networks with third parties.

In October, Crowdstar quietly released Zombie Universe (screenshot above), an iOS game that allows players to grow a population of zombie attackers, build decaying digs for them to stay in, and lead them on invasions of human towns.

At the time of this story going online, Crowdstar has made no official announcement about Zombie Chopper Strike.

It Girl, Top Girl: Crowdstar now working on another game called “Social Girl”

Social game developer Crowdstar Inc. has been a busy little bee over at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Earlier this week, I reported Crowdstar quietly launched Zombie Universe for iOS in Canada and filed trademarks for “Wildlife Safari” and “Zombie Universe by Crowdstar Network”.

They have now filed a trademark for “Social Girl” (Serial No. 85434592) on September 28, 2011, which looks to be another game targeted to females.

Crowdstar has had a lot of success with its “Girl” games. It has already released two: It Girl and Top Girl. 

In late June, Top Girl passed 1 million downloads within 10 days of being launched.

The Social Girl filing covers the following goods and services:

“Downloadable computer game software for use on wireless devices and computers; computer-game software, video game software, and computer game application software; interactive-video-game programs; electronic game software and electronic game application software that may be accessed via the Internet, computers and wireless devices; computer software to enable uploading, posting, showing, displaying, tagging, blogging, sharing or otherwise providing electronic media or information regarding the fields of virtual communities, electronic gaming, entertainment and general interest via the Internet or other communications networks with third parties”

Build your zombie town: CrowdStar quietly releases Zombie Universe for iOS

One of the top Facebook game developers CrowdStar, has apparently quietly released a new game for the iOS called “Zombie Universe”.

Considering the popularity of zombie games and shows, “Zombie Universe” has the potential to attract even more gamers because of the Halloween season.  In addition to Halloween, The Walking Dead season 2 premieres on October 16 on AMC.

But there’s a catch for zombie fans looking to play Zombie Universe; if you have an iTunes U.S. store account, you may run into problems trying to download the free app, as the app is currently only available in the iTunes Canada store. 

According to iTunes, Zombie Universe was released on September 30, 2011 on iTunes, and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

On September 27, 2011, Crowdstar Inc. filed a trademark application (Serial Number: 85433506) with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for “Zombie Universe by CrowdStar Network”.

The goods and services cover: “Downloadable computer game software for use on wireless devices and computers; computer-game software, video game software, and computer game application software; interactive-video-game programs; electronic game software and electronic game application software that may be accessed via the Internet, computers and wireless devices; computer software to enable uploading, posting, showing, displaying, tagging, blogging, sharing or otherwise providing electronic media or information regarding the fields of virtual communities, electronic gaming, entertainment and general interest via the Internet or other communications networks with third”.

CrowdStar also looks to be releasing another game called “Wildlife Safari” according to the USPTO.  On the same day the company filed a trademark for Zombie Universe, it also filed the “Wildlife Safari” trademark (Serial Number: 85433505).
