Ubisoft may be planning ‘Watch Dogs’ video game movie according to domains

Watch Dogs movie

Could there already be a “Watch Dogs” movie in the works?

If domain name registrations are any indication of things to come, it looks like Ubisoft may be in talks for a film of its brand new IP called Watch Dogs.

On June 14, 2012, Ubisoft Entertainment registered a handful of domains like WatchDogsmovie.com (Whois) and WatchDogsthemovie.com (Whois).

In total, the gaming company registered four names so far that I could find including Watch-Dogsmovie.com (Whois) and Watch-Dogsthemovie.com (Whois).

Unveiled during Ubisoft’s press conference at E3 2012, Watch Dogs the video game is set to be released in 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.

This is nothing more than speculation at this point, but given the subject matter and the positive reception the game is already receiving, it’s not too far fetched.

Ubisoft Entertainment registers “Just Dance Floor” domain names

Katy Perry Just Dance 2

Early last month, a list of twenty-five titles for the Wii U were leaked from a UK Blockbuster.  While the games haven’t been confirmed, many of the possible titles, which includes Just Dance 4, will almost certainly be released.

Though Ubisoft has not announced anything official, the company is now hinting at something new called “Just Dance: Floor”.

On May 31, 2012, Ubisoft Entertainment registered the domain names JustDanceFloor.com (Whois) and Just-DanceFloor.com (Whois).

“Just Dance Floor” may or may not have anything to do with “Just Dance 4” and it’s unknown whether it’s a game or some type of “dance floor” device to support the game.

Currently, neither domain resolves to a web page, but it’s likely Ubisoft will announce something regarding Just Dance at E3 2012 this upcoming week.

Ubisoft settles on “Face Your Insanity” tagline for Far Cry 3 according to domain

Far Cry 3: Face Your Insanity

Back in March, a GameFAQs member completed a market research survey for Far Cry 3 box art.  They were also asked their opinion for the tagline “Face your insanity”.

Many of the people who responded in the forum liked the tagline.  One person even replied, “Face your insanity is the perfect tagline for this game.”

Now, it looks like Ubisoft has settled on the tagline “Face Your Insanity” for the upcoming first-person shooter video game.  On May 17, 2012, Ubisoft registered the domain name faceyourinsanity.com (Whois).

At the time of this story, the domain name does not resolve to a web page.

Far Cry 3 is expected to be released in September.

Ubisoft Entertainment registers “Rayman Legends” domain names [UPDATED]

Rayman Legends

Last year, it was rumored that Nintendo would show off a new line of games at E3 for the Wii U (then referred to as “Project Cafe”).

One of those games in the list by Ubisoft was a game called “Rayman Legends”.

Now, that game looks to be more official according to two new domain names registered by Ubisoft this week that include RaymandLegends.com (Whois) and Rayman-Legends.com (Whois).

Though nothing official has been announced, this may be another title slated for Nintendo’s Wii U, as Ubisoft has said it has big plans for the console.

Earlier this week, a marketing survey hinted at a Rayman Origins sequel of mythic proportions.

[Updated on April 27, 2012:. Ubisoft has confirmed Rayman Legends.  The game is currently in development from Michel Ancel and his team in Montpellier.]

Ubisoft actually registers domain name for Rabbids’ yell Bwaaaaaaaaaah.com

Raving Rabbids bwaaaaaaaaaah

Ubisoft has made somewhat of an interesting domain purchase this week.  On April 17, 2012, the video game publisher registered the thirteen-letter name bwaaaaaaaaaah.com (Whois), which refers to the crazy rabbits known as the Rabbids and their trademark yell, “BWAAAAAAAH!”.

Oddly enough, Ubisoft opted not to go with shorter versions of the name like bwaaaaaaaaah.com (which is only twelve letters long and is available at the time of this story).  In fact, Ubisoft could’ve registered the nine-letter, ten-letter or even the eleven-letter names.

The registration appears related to the first volume of a comic book that will be released in June by the same name.

At the time of this story, the domain does not resolve to a web page.
